Job Summary:

The successful applicant will train to work in Production & Packaging Department. The Packaging/ Production Line Worker will be responsible for handling and checking the food bars on the production line. This individual will be responsible for the operation of some equipment for the manufacture of various products and will ensure all work performed adheres to all organizational GMP, HAACP and safety standards. Some sanitation and janitorial duties are also required. This is a physical labor intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.

Primary activities include:

– Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.

-Checking weights and quality of the products, preparing boxes, cleaning, labelling, recording check sheet information, and general ingredient and in-process product handling.

-Use good communication during line start-up and line stops. This includes proper use of voice commands.

-Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards.

-Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority.

-Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times.

-Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.

-Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.

-Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time.

-Previous food production work considered an asset but not necessary

-Ability to lift up to 10-15kg continuously throughout the day.

-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

-Commitment to accuracy and detail oriented.

-Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.

-Should be able to understand and respond to basic English instructions.

-Highly flexible, with good interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

-Ability to perform repetitive tasks and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
